Birthday Party FAQ's
1) How do we book a party with you?
~ Justin Impossible will personally work with you to create that perfect party for your son or daughter. Once all the details are set we require a 50% non refundable deposit to hold the date. Cash, Venmo or check with checks made out to Impossible Entertainment, with the rest due on the day of the event.
2) What time are birthday parties?
~ 90% of our birthday parties are performed on the weekends. 2 party time slots on Saturday, early afternoon (12:30-2) and late afternoon (4:00-5:30). 1 party on Sunday with a flexible time of 11:30-1 or 1:30-3.
3) What is the recommend age for birthday parties?
~ We say 4 years old and up...but we have performed for 6 month olds...of course that party was mostly for the adults :)
4) What time can I arrive to setup?
~ For the first package you arrive at your scheduled time as there is no setup or food allowed. For the second package you may arrive 15 min early. 3rd package 30 min early.
5) Can I bring food?
~ Yes & No...the first party package is just a magic show. The 2nd & 3rd party package allows food & cake. There is a $25 outside cleaning fee if you are bringing in any food or drink to the theatre.
6) Can we decorate?
~ The Impossibles Theatre is a very intimate & magical setting, but we understand you want to make it "yours". You can bring balloons and decorations but nothing can be attached to the curtains and no confetti!
7) What do I need to bring?
~ We provide two tables, table clothes and awesome entertainment. For the 2nd and 3rd party package we recommend plates, silverware, napkins, candles etc.
8) Can we bring in alcohol?
~ We do not allow alcohol during the kids party. If you are booking an adult show there is a $50 outside alcohol fee.
9) What time should my guests arrive?
~ Be sure to have guests arrive at the start time, not the set up time. If children are being dropped off make sure parents know pickup time is prior to your party time ending.
10) Can adults stay for the show?
~ If you read our reviews, most adults stay for the show as its fun for all ages and there is no additional charge per guest.
11) How many people does the theatre seat?
~ We can seat 60 with no people standing in the back.
12) When does the magic show start?
~ The magic show starts 15 min after your start time.
13) When should guests eat if we have the 2nd and 3rd party package?
~ We have found it works best if guests eat during the show and have cake afterwards.
14) Can we open presents?
~ We don't recommend opening presents as it will eat up your time. Each additional 30 min in the theatre after your normal scheduled time is billed at $50.
15) I don't know what to purchase for the birthday boy/girl?
~ Everyone loves magic...we recommend an Impossibles Magic Shop gift card that way our professional staff can pick something perfectly suited for them.
16) Do you have a fridge or freezer for ice cream cake?
~ We do not have a fridge/freezer for customer use. You can bring a cooler for drinks but for this venue we don't recommend ice cream cakes.
17) Can we bring in goodie bags or giveaways?
~ We do not allow outside goodie bags or giveaways. We have "Bags of Mystery" available for purchase and they range from $5-20 per child. If you decide to bring in outside goodie bags there is a $50 charge.
17) What is a "Bag of Mystery"?
~ We knew you would ask! Justin performs an effect during the show called “The Bag of Mystery” and at the end of the show everyone in attendance gets their own Bag of Mystery which are filled with 2-5 awesome magic tricks. It's a great giveaway for kids and adults and something that people will talk about for time to come. Most people have parties and events as they want to give back to those in attendance and this is a great option. They range from $5-$20 per person and we teach everything inside the bag during the show.
